Ferretti S.r.l. strongly believes in the principles of quality, as they translate into the instrument through which it is possible to achieve continuous improvements within its organization, which are reflected in total customer satisfaction. The Quality Management System UNI EN ISO 9001 regulates the processes carried out within Ferretti S.r.l. in a planned, documented manner aimed at achieving the following objectives:

  • Address the risks and opportunities related to the internal and external business context and to the needs and expectations of relevant Interested Parties through their periodic review and adjustment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements through constant monitoring of the obligations to be met and their timely implementation.
  • Improve business processes in terms of efficiency through periodic monitoring of the achievement of established objectives, the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, fostering discussion with those responsible so that they contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the ability to regularly provide products and services in compliance with contractual requirements, pursuing Customer satisfaction, in particular through:
    • the preventive review of all contractual requirements;
    • the planning of orders and the systematic monitoring of their progress status relative to the related schedule;
    • the systematic control of procured materials/services;
    • the systematic control of products/services;
    • the promotion within the company of everyone’s awareness of their own role and responsibility in order to achieve Customer satisfaction and the established Quality Objectives.

Policy for Health,
Safety, and Hygiene
at Work

Ferretti Sri, a modern, competitive company that is always attentive to innovation, has implemented a health and safety management system for its workers, as an essential objective to be continuously achieved and improved, through:

  • Promotion of a culture of respect for laws and regulations aimed at protecting the safety and health of workers and hygiene at work.
  • Continuous improvement of the organizational structure’s efficiency to enhance the management of activities that may impact workers’ health and safety.
  • Dissemination of the safety culture and this Policy, through a process of training, involvement, and empowerment of personnel in both the construction and refractory sectors.
  • Definition of programs aimed at reducing injuries and incidents at work.
  • Constant periodic on-site inspections.
  • Obligation for timely reporting in case of dangerous situations and the duty to refrain from carrying out hazardous operations for oneself or for colleagues.
  • Continuous analysis of on-site anomalies detected during monitoring activities.
  • Systematic analysis of Incidents and Near Misses.
  • Continuous and active collaboration between management and employees.
  • Continuous awareness-raising among suppliers and third parties regarding issues related to health, safety, and hygiene at work, with a view to proper risk management.
  • Drafting of operational procedures for work processes and phases.
  • Compliance with the absolute prohibition, in accordance with the Consolidated Law (Legislative Decree 81/08), of consuming alcohol, psychotropic substances, and drugs during working hours, by all employees. The company considers that non-compliance with this prohibition constitutes a well-founded and valid reason for disciplinary action and for dismissal.

Environmental
Policy

Ferretti S.r.l, aware of the importance of safeguarding and protecting the environment, is committed to instilling a culture of precaution, preventive action, and correction at the source of damage caused by pollution, as well as adhering to the “polluter pays” principle. To pursue continuous improvement of its environmental performance, Ferretti S.r.l sets the following objectives:

  • Respect current legislation and any agreements regarding its significant environmental impacts.
  • Disseminate a culture of respect for the environment among its employees, including through training activities, to create awareness towards energy conservation and proper waste management.
  • Eliminate risks to people’s safety and environmental protection, in relation to knowledge acquired based on technical progress and, where this is not possible, reduce them to a minimum, preferably by addressing the causes that generated them;
  • Adopt a plan for the prevention and management of environmental emergencies;
  • Carry out continuous monitoring of the production process and monitor the related environmental aspects/impacts;
  • Raise awareness among suppliers of goods and services about the contents of the environmental policy;
  • Communicate its environmental performance transparently to the local community and customers to obtain and consolidate trust in the offered activities and products/services;
  • Rationalize the use of natural and energy resources;
  • Commit to managing waste by prioritizing recovery and recycling over disposal, wherever possible.

On the occasion of the review
of the Integrated
Management System

The management:

  • verifies the adequacy and effectiveness of the Policy, in particular through monitoring company performance, the degree of the system’s application, and the achievement of established objectives, and in response to any changes in the internal and external organizational context and/or the needs and expectations of Interested Parties;
  • defines new, measurable, short-term objectives aimed at solidifying the Policy and ensuring the continuous development and improvement of the Management System.

This Policy is disseminated to all persons working for or on behalf of the Company, so that they are aware of their commitments, and is available to all relevant Interested Parties by being posted on the notice board at the Company and on the company website www.ferrettispa.i Dalmine, January 23, 2017
